Gma B's Apple Raisin Cake
I remember Grandma B's Apple Raisin Cake to be one of the most wonderful cakes. There are lots of other recipes for this kind of cake but hers was the best.
Ingredients
- 4 cups apples Granny Smith, peeled and sliced into one inch pieces
- 2 cups sugar

- 1/ c cup oil
- 1 cup pecans chopped
- 1 cup raisins
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla

- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- dash or two of ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Combine apples and sugar and set aside.
- Mix together oil, chopped nuts, raisins, eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
- Stir wet and dry ingredients together (do not beat). Add apple/sugar mixture.
- Bake in a well greased and floured tube cake pan or bundt cake pan at 350 degrees for 40 - 60 minutes or until done.
