It takes an act of courage to make this side dish but I am told it is worth it. Give it a try!
Flash-fried Green Beans
Ingredients
- 1 lb green beans or asparagus
- 1 Tbsp oil
- salt, pepper, garlic to taste
Instructions
- Wash and cut to beans to a similar size
- Heat oil in pan
- Put greens in, uncovered, set timer for 5 minutes
- Walk away...this is the hard part...Don't touch it!
- When timer goes off...pour 1/3 cup water in it and cover. Cook for 5 minutes...walk away...
- Then put any sauce you want in middle for an additional minute on medium heat...I usually use teriyaki. Toss to coat.
Notes
Instead of green beans, use fresh asparagus.
