Flash-fried Green Beans

It takes an act of courage to make this side dish but I am told it is worth it. Give it a try!

Flash-fried Green Beans

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb green beans or asparagus
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • salt, pepper, garlic to taste

Instructions
 

  • Wash and cut to beans to a similar size
  • Heat oil in pan
  • Put greens in, uncovered, set timer for 5 minutes
  • Walk away...this is the hard part...Don't touch it!
  • When timer goes off...pour 1/3 cup water in it and cover. Cook for 5 minutes...walk away...
  • Then put any sauce you want in middle for an additional minute on medium heat...I usually use teriyaki. Toss to coat.

Notes

Instead of green beans, use fresh asparagus.
