Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 lb sirloin steak cut into 2-inch long thin strips
  • 4 T butter divided use
  • 2 T olive oil divided use
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 8 oz. mushrooms sliced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 3 T flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 12 oz. package wide egg noodles cooked and buttered

Instructions
 

  • Melt 2 T butter in 1 T olive oil in a large skillet.
  • Add steak strips in 2-3 bathces and brown quickly, then remove and keep warm.
  • Add remaining 2 T butter and 1 T olive oil to skillet and sauté onions until soft.
  • Add the mushrooms, garlic, salt, pepper and flour, stirring well to incorporate flour.
  • Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a boil. When thickened, add meat back in and stir in sour cream. Heat until sour cream is warmed through.
  • Serve over noodles.
