Beef Stroganoff
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb sirloin steak cut into 2-inch long thin strips
- 4 T butter divided use
- 2 T olive oil divided use
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 8 oz. mushrooms sliced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 3 T flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 cup sour cream
- 12 oz. package wide egg noodles cooked and buttered
Instructions
- Melt 2 T butter in 1 T olive oil in a large skillet.
- Add steak strips in 2-3 bathces and brown quickly, then remove and keep warm.
- Add remaining 2 T butter and 1 T olive oil to skillet and sauté onions until soft.
- Add the mushrooms, garlic, salt, pepper and flour, stirring well to incorporate flour.
- Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a boil. When thickened, add meat back in and stir in sour cream. Heat until sour cream is warmed through.
- Serve over noodles.
