I had never had Raisin Pie until I had Grandma B’s. It is marvelous. I love it on a cold winter day for breakfast with coffee. And so easy! There is simply no excuse for not making one of these pies from time to time.
Grandma Benedict’s Favorite Sour Cream Raisin Pie
Ingredients
- 3 eggs well beaten
- 1 ¼ cups sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp cloves
- 1 ½ cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cup raisins
Instructions
- Prepare recipe for a one crust 9” pie. Prick with a fork slightly and bake for 6 minutes.
- Mix ingredients in any order and pour into pie shell.
- Bake @ 450 degrees for 10 minutes and then turn temperature down to 325 degrees. Bake for 20-25 more minutes.
